This Sunday we are kicking off our 2021 Stewardship Campaign and you are invited to join me in prayerfully making a pledge to support the ministry of St. Mary’s as we go forward into the coming year. Pledge cards will be available this Sunday following the in-person services at 8:00 and 10:30 am. We will be mailing out the remainder of the cards on Monday October 19th. We are asking that all cards be returned by Sunday November 22nd. I am grateful for the faithful generosity of so many of you.
On All Saints’ Day November 1 we will be remembering all of our loved ones, friends, and family members who have died. You are invited to send us pictures and to make prayer flags that we will hang in the church throughout the month of November. We will also name all those who died this past year, and weather permitting we will go out to the Churchyard to read the names of all those buried in that sacred space. On November 1st we are also celebrating the new ministry of Mike Choquette as the Deacon here at St. Mary’s. Mike will be ordained on All Hallows Eve, October 31 at 11:00 a.m. at Church of the Holy Spirit. You are invited to watch the service as it will be live-streamed.
See you all on Sunday, either in person at 8:00 or 10:30 a.m., or on Zoom Morning Prayer at 9:00 a.m. Our next live-streamed service will take place at 10:30 a.m. on Sunday October 25.

All Saints’ Day – Sunday, November 1
This year our All Saints’ Day Celebration is on Sunday, November 1, and there are several ways you can participate.
Prayer Flags: Colored paper prayer flags and markers will be available at the back of the church throughout the month of October. Please make a flag for anyone and everyone whom you would like us to remember on All Saints’ Day. You may make as many flags as you wish. The flags will be hanging in the church throughout the month of November. You may write the person’s name, dates, and/or a note about them.
Photos: In addition to the prayer flags, you are also invited to submit photos of those family members and friends to be remembered. You can email them to the office, or drop them off and we can scan them. If you submitted photos in prior years, there is no need to resubmit them – we will use them again, unless you tell us otherwise.
Deaths Since November 2019: During the Prayers of the People at our Sunday services on November 1, we will pray for all those friends and loved ones who have died during the past year. There are forms in the back of church, or you may submit their names to the office via email or a phone call.
** Please note: If you are not attending in-person services right now,
we can make the flags for you! Pleaseemail, or call the office
with the names of those loved ones you would like remembered. **

Recently we had a large maple tree that had to be cut down, and there is a very large pile of mulch that is available for the taking. If you can use any mulch in your yard, please stop by and load up! The pile is located next to the front sidewalk, just behind the wrought iron fence on McHenry Ave.
October 17 Churchyard Inurnments
