This week I know many of us are remembering and reliving the events of 9/11 as we observe the 20th Anniversary of this life changing day for our nation. I invite you to take some time for prayer for the 2,996 people who died, and for all the families and loved ones whose lives were changed forever. Trinity Wall Street in New York is offering a number of services online to commemorate 9/11 that you can watch, including a Eucharist with Presiding Bishop Michael Curry. We have included that information and the links in this newsletter. I invite you to pray this weekend for the peace and protection of our nation, and that we may be leaders in building peace throughout the world.
This Sunday please join us for our 8:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. services. Steve Szalaj will be our guest pianist at the 10:00 a.m. service. Many of you know Steve and are aware of his musical talents, as well as the wonderful direction that he gives to the Voices of Harmony Choir here in McHenry County.
This Sunday at our 10:00 a.m. service we are celebrating the baptism of Walter Martin Nicholas, son of Abbey and Kyle Nicholas, and grandson of Jennifer and Jerry Kolarczyk. Coffee hour will follow in the Great Hall after both services.
Please remember that masks are required when entering the building.
