Finance Minister Bill Morneau introduced in Parliament Bill C-20,  An Act respecting further COVID-19 measures . Upon receiving Royal Assent, this legislation would make the CEWS more targeted, expand eligibility, and help more workers get back to their jobs as the economy continues to reopen.   Read more


Government Of Canada Creates The ‘Essential Services Contingency Reserve’ Program
The Essential Services Contingency Reserve will allow organizations that provide essential services to apply for temporary, urgent access to personal protective equipment and other critical supplies. It aims to help bridge gaps in their supplies to avoid any significant disruptions in services to Canadians. Eligible associations and organizations will be able to apply online for a range of equipment, available for purchase at cost. Learn more

Canada Emergency Wage Subsidy (CEWS) Question & Answer Sessions
With the extension of the Canada Emergency Wage Subsidy (CEWS) until December, the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) will host interactive question and answer sessions for eligible employers on the CEWS. These sessions will respond to general questions about the CEWS and provide resources needed to apply. See session dates and further details .
