The Caring Committee meets

Monday, October 13^th at 6pm on Zoom.

We will talk about the needs of our members, continued outreach projects, food drives, and new ideas to help our community. Our hope is to establish working groups for projects, not to repeatedly meet as a committee.

Seafarer's Scarfs and Caps

If you have knitted any scarfs or caps for the Seafarers that dock in CT. We will be blessing them before we send them off.

Please have them to the church by Wednesday, October 8^th as we will be blessing them during the service on October 12^th.

Fall Stewardship

This fall, our stewardship theme is Mission Possible: Agents of Welcome.

Each week you’ll receive a small giveaway with a “mission assignment.” Together, these missions will lead us to a special celebration at our Stewardship Sunday breakfast on October 19th. All are invited to attend!

Here's what's coming:

● Week 1 – Magnifying Glass You’ll receive a magnifying glass keychain.

● Week 2 – Compass You’ll receive your compass of mission direction.

● Week 3 – Notebook You’ll receive your “Top Secret” notebook.

Each item will be handed to you as you arrive for worship that Sunday morning. Along with it, you’ll receive a code to break so you can discover your weekly mission.

Then, on Stewardship Sunday at our breakfast, we’ll bring all our assignments together and create a giant Welcome Wall filled with our words, prayers, and stories. It will show how each of us is part of God’s mission here at POP.

Agents, your mission is clear: Be Stewards/agents of welcome!

Our assembly benefits enormously from many people's generous sharing.

A separate booklet will be produced for each service that you are welcome to take home with you.
Communion can be received around the altar.
The offering plate will be passed during the anthem. Please help the ushers by passing the plate down your row.
