Our Community Caring Corner

Continued prayers for Rosemary Brown who,

after a short stay in the hospital,

went home to continue recovering from a fall at home.

and for Myrna Scharf.

Myrna wishes to thank you for the prayers and cards

she has received while in the hospital.

She continues to heal and has begun rehab.

She does not have a phone in her room

but if you would like to visit,

she is in St. Joe's on the 6th floor, room 630.

in our church community in your prayers.

There are people whose concerns we do not know

and so we pray for all those who are grieving,

facing health and other life challenges.

We are not alone, thanks be to God.

Lenten Study will begin on Wed, Feb 25 at 2pm in the Fireside room. We will meet every Wednesday for 5 weeks.

The focus of the first 3 weeks of the study will be based on readings from

Rowan Williams Book "Meeting God in Paul"

Reflections for Lent.

The last 2 weeks we will connect with the Presbyterian Reads Group and participate in the conversation. Learning more about Paul through the book of Romans and Galations.

There will be a sign up sheet in the narthex for the study.

PURSES FOR MARGARET 

Prompted by our Monday evening book club’s reading of Her Name was Margaret (by Denise Davy), this community has had an annual collection of items for women in Hamilton who are living in challenging circumstances. Here’s a list of suggestions: socks, underwear, hats, gloves, rain ponchos, tampons, sanitary pads, Kleenex, toothbrushes, toothpaste, soap, shampoo, deodorant.

In 2026, we will gather items on (Sundays) February 1 and February 8 and at book club on Monday, February 9. They will be taken to Willow’s Place, a low-barrier space for women on Wentworth St. N., Hamilton.
