BOMA California Leaders

Shaping BOMA International

BOMA California members continue to play a leading role on the national stage, with an impressive roster of leaders serving in key positions across BOMA International and BOMI.

Following the recent election at BOMA International's Summer Conference in Long Beach, the 2026–2027 BOMA International Executive Committee is now led by Chair and Chief Elected Officer Kjersten Jaeb, joined by Chair-Elect Glenn Good (BOMA San Francisco), Vice Chair Marc Gille (BOMA San Francisco), and Secretary/Treasurer Don Fairgrieve-Park.

California is also well represented among the newly elected and reelected members of the 2026–2028 Executive Committee of the Board of Governors, including Andy Hayford, Macky Guilherme, Dana Getz, Elizabeth Despins (BOMA Oakland/East Bay), Laurie Zydonik, Christopher M. Horsley, and Matt Faupel.

In addition, several California leaders continue their service in national leadership roles, including Sarah MacIntyre (BOMA Oakland/East Bay), Julie Taylor, BAE Representative (BOMA Oakland/East Bay), and Christina Winstead, Associate Member Representative (BOMA Greater Los Angeles), who remain on the Executive Committee. Finland Alejo (BOMA Greater Los Angeles) also serves on the BOMI Board of Trustees.

Congratulations to all of these outstanding leaders for representing California and helping shape the future of the commercial real estate industry at the national level. Their leadership reflects the strength, expertise, and engagement of BOMA California and our local associations.

California's November Ballot Finalized

California's November statewide ballot is now set with 14 measures. Notably, ACA 13 has been removed from the ballot—a significant victory for the business community following advocacy efforts by BOMA California, BOMA International, CBPA's Industry Defense Fund, and coalition partners.

As the campaign moves into the general election, BOMA California is continuing its support for two key measures it has championed since the signature-gathering phase: Proposition 43, which restores the two-thirds voter approval requirement for local special taxes, and Proposition 45, which streamlines CEQA review for essential housing and infrastructure projects.

BOMA California is seeking member input on several other initiatives, including two housing-related initiatives that could help address California's housing shortage. Members are encouraged to review the ballot measures and share their feedback, as early engagement is critical to shaping BOMA California's advocacy efforts.
