Principal's Message

PSAT Administration is Next Week

This year, the PSAT will be administered on Wednesday, October 23, 2024.

BRHS students in grades 9, 10, and 11 will complete the PSAT during their morning classes. Students in grades 10 and 11 will complete the PSAT/NMSQT and those in grade 9 will complete the PSAT 8/9. Most Seniors will have a delayed opening that day.

Please read the PSAT Testing Letter for information regarding the day's schedule.

Congratulations to September's Students of the Month

The Student of the Month program is designed so that all students are eligible and any student can receive the award. This award is intended to acknowledge outstanding accomplishments, character, and leadership that often accompany academic achievement. Students are nominated by BRHS Faculty and have demonstrated overall excellence or distinctive improvement as a BRHS student, including admirable behavior in and out of the classroom. Above all, they have reflected the We Are BR virtues: Respectfulness, Kindness, and Responsibility.

Portrait Make-Ups or Retakes are coming!

Students in Grades 9-11 who missed picture day or would like to retake their picture, may do so on November 13th in the Auditorium during a Study Hall or during the Unit Lunch block.

* What's Up Wednesday - A Club Spotlight on the French Club. Members of the French Club take part in French cultural activities every other week after school. For more information, please join the club's Google Classroom using the code: RGGN4VI

* Panther PowerPlays - Interviews with members of the BRHS Boys Soccer Team. The team had a signature 2-0 win over Hopewell Valley in September. Their next home game is on Tuesday, October 29th, against Lawrenceville at 6:00 pm on Turf #2. Best of luck to the team for the rest of their season!! We are BR!!

* BRHS News - Athletes of the Week and a Club Spotlight on the Animal Shelter Club. Club members raise awareness for the animals at the Somerset County Animal Shelter. For more information, please join the club's Google Classroom using the code: 7QN4Q72

Class of 2026 Panera Fundraiser

The BRHS Class of 2026 is holding a fundraiser on Friday, November 1st, 2024 4- 8 pm.

Show the attached flyer and use CODE: FUND4U 25% of all sales will be donated to our Class and it will help defray the cost of our Senior prom!

National Art Honor Society Halloween paint-together costume party

NAHS is excited to host a Halloween paint-together costume party on October 25th from 6 PM to 9 PM in the Small Cafeteria.

This ticketed event can be pre-purchased from NAHS members or directly from Mrs. Nasson in room 105. Tickets are available for $15 in advance and $20 at the door.

Join us for a fun evening where you can create a Halloween-themed painting alongside instructors, participate in a costume contest, and enjoy music and food!

All BRHS Seniors are being sent a signup form for the sibling photo sessions next Tuesday, October 22, and Wednesday, October 23 during the Unit Lunch block in the Auditorium.

Nominations Sought for 2024-2025 Governor’s Educator of the Year Recognition Program

The New Jersey Department of Education (NJDOE) strives to recognize educators who have gone above and beyond in their service to New Jersey’s students.

Our District is proud to once again participate in the Governor’s Educator of the Year program to honor the hardworking teachers and educational services professionals for their dedication to their students and the profession.

PSAT & SAT Exam Preparation - Enrolling Now

Bridgewater-Raritan High School Students: PSAT & SAT private tutoring lessons starting now for students taking the December SAT exam. The next SAT preparation course will be held on Sundays or Tuesdays starting February 2nd or 4th. Proceeds benefit BRHS PTO.

Course cost: $489 includes Official Digital SAT Study Guide by College Board and PSAT/SAT Strategy Guide books. Strategies are taught, and lessons are given, for all areas tested on the Digital PSAT and SAT exams: Reading, Writing, and Math. Students complete two official College Board exams. Each test question is demonstrated, step-by-step on a whiteboard, and students get their score for each test module along with additional material for continued practice.
