Student Council members attend the Annual New Jersey Association of Student Councils (NJASC) Fall Conference at The College of New Jersey
According to Michele Mammone and Sarah Cleary, the Bridgewater-Raritan High School Advisors to the Student Council, events such as a keynote speaker, Lilyan Prado Carillo, and a magician kept the crowd entertained throughout the conference encouraging ideas such as leadership, creativity, and community. “They also learned about the state charity “Ava’s Voice,” to which the Student Council will be donating $1000 to, which empowers youth with Usher syndrome and educates families and school communities,” Ms. Mammone and Ms. Cleary stated. “Nearing its 70th year, the NJASC organization is the head of all student councils across New Jersey and promotes programs and events occurring from Bridgewater-Raritan High School all the way down to Ocean City High School,” they said. Ms. Mammone and Ms. Cleary added about this productive trip. “A big thank you to the organization for setting this amazing opportunity up and allowing for us to come." The Student Council will also be attending future conferences held by NJASC to further advance our school and community.
