Your Voice, Your Song!

Do you have a favorite Hymn?

I'm sure all of us have at least one hymn or song that we enjoy and so with that question, it is your turn ... your voice, your song.  The worship and music committee are requesting that you consider submitting your favorite hymn or song once again this summer!

Request forms are available in the Narthex. All you need to do is fill it out and place it in the receptacle that can be found in the back of the Narthex. You may submit more than one as we will collect all submissions and use those hymns and/or songs as appropriate in the planning during the summer months. Hymns and songs are not limited to the ELW or ACS worship book. If you know one that is not in there, submit it as well and we will do our best to find it and we'll present something new.

As we go through the summer, we will also be publishing the hymns for each Sunday during the weekly update, so you'll know when yours is up!

Sunday School Survey

Dear Prince of Peace Families,

The start of a new Sunday School year is quickly approaching, and we are excited to welcome everyone back for another year of learning, growing in faith, and building friendships together!

As we prepare for the coming year, we want to hear from you. Your feedback is invaluable as we plan programs, schedules, and activities that best support the needs of our children and families.

Please take a few minutes to complete our Sunday School Family Survey. Your responses will help us better understand what is important to your family, what is working well, and how we can continue to strengthen our Sunday School ministry. Whether your family has participated for years or you are considering joining us for the first time, we would love to hear your thoughts.

Our hope is to create a welcoming, engaging, and meaningful faith formation program where every child can grow in God's love and every family feels connected and supported.

Please complete the survey by Sunday, August 16th. Your feedback will help us finalize our plans before Sunday School begins this fall.

Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts and we look forward to a wonderful year together!

Blessings,

Lorraine Lavery

Confirmation

Dear Parents and Families,

We are excited to announce the beginning of a new Confirmation class at Prince of Peace! We invite all students entering 7th grade and older, along with their parents, to join us for an informational meeting to learn more about this meaningful faith formation opportunity.

To help us choose a meeting time that works for as many families as possible, please complete the Google Form linked below. You may select all of the dates and times that you would be available to attend. We will do our best to schedule the meeting at the time that is most convenient for the greatest number of families.

Confirmation is a time for youth to explore their faith, ask questions, build relationships, and grow in their understanding of God's love and their place in the life of the church. Throughout the program, students will learn about Scripture, Lutheran beliefs and traditions, worship, service, and what it means to live out their faith each day.

The informational meeting is for both parents and students and will provide an overview of:

  • The Confirmation program and curriculum
  • Meeting dates and expectations
  • Service and fellowship opportunities
  • Important dates for the year
  • Time for questions and discussion

Please complete the Google Form by Sunday, August 16th. Once responses have been received, we will announce the meeting date and time.

We look forward to beginning this faith journey with your family and welcoming a new Confirmation class!

Our assembly benefits enormously from many people's generous sharing.

Thank you to everyone helping us all in our worship. If you wonder whether you might have a role in our Sunday gathering, please connect with Pastor Michael.
