Dear Friends in Christ:
As expected, our family had some enjoyable times in Ohio this past weekend. Our state has so much to offer, and we are grateful to have had the chance to take in some of those offerings.
On to the updates . . .

WORSHIP
This week, we are back to all five services--four streamed, and one in person.
Sunday :
8:00am As usual now, we will open the doors for Morning Prayer, Rite I. We have 22 "booths" for seating, and members of a household can sit together. Please remember: everyone must wear a mask, so please bring your own, if possible. All must enter through the parking lot doors, and provide contact information (if we don't already have it).
10:00am We will stream Morning Prayer, Rite II on our Facebook page, and on our website. You can find the service outline HERE, and the hymns HERE.
Tuesday and Thursday: We will stream The Great Litany and sung Compline at 7pm, on Facebook and at our website.
Wednesday: at 12:30pm, we feature one of our lovely stained-glass windows with prayers, and musical accompaniment by Choirmaster Andrew Bolden. (Only on our Facebook page.)
More information on all our services can be found at the Calendar page of our website, and all streamed services are then uploaded to our youtube page.

ALTAR PLANTS
Throughout this season of "Covidtide," we have done away with cut flowers on the Altar, and have instead been purchasing live plants, which are then planted on the church grounds. If you haven't been by the building lately, you should stop over and take a look. All the hard work of our Gardening Team is really paying off!
If you're interested in contributing toward this ongoing beautification, we ask for a $20 donation per dedication, to help defray costs. Please call the office if you'd like to sponsor some plants.
This week's plants are given by Mary Ann Sherer, to the glory of God, and in memory of loved ones.

WEEKLY PUZZLE
For the month of August, we are zooming in, to focus on transoms and closeups of our lovely windows. This week's puzzle features a closeup of the center image of the window in the stairwell above the lounge. (That's a lot of prepositional phrases!)
You will find the puzzle by clicking HERE. You can choose your background color, number of puzzle pieces, and even set it to display just the edge pieces. Plus, you get a very affirming crowd reaction once you have completed it!

SOMETHING ELSE
While I don't want to get our hopes up prematurely, I do want to let you know that tomorrow morning (8/14), the Bishop has asked all priests in parochial settings (meaning, serving at churches) to join him online for a conversation about distributing Holy Communion. Since I can't imagine he'd get 72 people together to say, "nothing has changed," I expect there might be some movement toward distributing Communion again at our services.
I mean, a priest can dream, can't he?
And in that spirit of hope, I offer you this photo, as a reminder that there is still life and growth at St. Tim's, though we can't be together as much as we'd like.
