Dear Friends of St. Timothy's:
I am writing this in advance and have it scheduled to be sent on Thursday morning, since I am taking a few days off to try to figure out how it is that Cristin and I have been married for THIRTY YEARS! I feel confident we will get to the bottom of this, since it is clearly impossible that she has put up with me for that long. The truth will out.

Now then, on to the updates . . .
WORSHIP
Lots of changes this week, so please read carefully. You can find this week's bulletin insert HERE. Taking things in order . . .

Sunday 8am & 10am:
8:00am Holy Eucharist Rite I, including distribution of bread, for those who wish to partake. Please remember: everyone  must  wear a mask, so please bring your own, if possible. All must enter through the parking lot doors, and provide contact information (if we don't already have it).

10:00 am, we will stream Morning Prayer, Rite II. The service outline is HERE, and hymns are HERE.
This service will only be available online, due to restrictions against singing together.

Tuesday 7pm:
We will stream The Great Litany and sung Compline at 7pm, on Facebook and at our website.

Wednesday 12:30pm:
Our regular mid-week service returns on September 23rd. Though we are unable to offer anointing for healing due to social distance restrictions, we will have distribution of bread for those who wish to partake. (Restrictions and guidelines are the same as Sunday 8am service.)

Thursday 7pm:
Starting September 24th at 7pm, we will begin a new weekly Thursday service, based on a Taize' model of singing. This may or may not work, given the restrictions and limited number of people, but we're going to try for a few weeks and then reassess. You can tune in at 7pm, on Facebook and at our website.

More information on all our services can be found at the Calendar page of our website, and all streamed services are then uploaded to our youtube  page.
WEEKLY PUZZLE
We continue with our closeup puzzles this week, focusing on the cross in the center of the West Window. Though this cross often makes me think of the 1970s, it's actually from the 1890s, a much more dignified time.

You will find the puzzle by clicking  HERE. You can choose your background color, number of puzzle pieces, and even set it to display just the edge pieces. Plus, you get a very affirming crowd reaction once you have completed it!
PRAYERS REQUESTED
Please keep these friends and parishioners in your prayers.
David Wigginton, Joyce Vitale, Brian Dorosch, Don Zimmerman, Rachel Sanchez, Anne Smith, Carrie Morrison, Bob Meyer, Chris Lane, Chelsey Levin, Judy Wigginton, Fr. Jerome Lukachinsky, Ray Depew, Bea Martin, Ann Farmer, Mary Jane Mauger, Don Merrill, Trish Dwigans, and Priya Kurian.
And do call the office if there's anyone you'd like to have added.
BIRTHDAYS and ANNIVERSARIES
Celebrating birthdays this week are Barb Casline (9/20), Hank Harris (9/24), and Eric Smith (9/25).
Joel and Margy Vogt celebrate their anniversary on 9/21, Jon and Wendy Silvis on 9/24, and Bob and Mary Lou Long on 9/25.
Be sure to send happy thoughts and good wishes to all who celebrate this week!
OTHER THINGS
As Dean of the Mission Area, I sometimes get the secret lucky magic inside scoop on things and wanted to let you know that St. Mark's in Canton has called a priest to be their Rector. The Rev. Ronald Johnson is currently serving a church in Wyoming, but was in Westlake, OH back when I started at St. Tim's. It will be good for Stark County to have another Rector, and I look forward to working with him in the future.

And, again, please let me know how I can be helpful in the days ahead. I am so happy we can finally distribute the Sacrament again, and I long for the days when we can all gather together in person. For now, I leave you with this romantic shot, taken on our anniversary this week, because we'll always have Paris.

Faithfully,

Fr. George
