The following is from the Interprofessional Clinic (IPC) at Appalachian State University's Appalachian Institute for Health and Wellness offers a variety of clinical and support services to the High Country and App State communities.
Hello everyone,
We are reaching out on behalf of the Interprofessional Clinic of Appalachian State to ask if anyone in your congregation would be interested in attending our community events. Both events are FREE for community members that are interested.
Our first event we wanted to inform the community about is a Shared Meal that will take place March 19th, from 11:00am-12:30pm. We will also have additional meals on April 2nd and April 30th. Our registered dietitian, Andrea Lockard, will be preparing an educational potion. The catering featured for this meal will be reflective of the educational topic. The shared meals are free but will have limited registration available. The shared meal is to take place inside the Leon Levine Health Science building and parking will be offered in the back of the building with a clinic parking pass. Our intentions with this group are to build connections between students and community members. If you know anyone interested please reach out so we can accommodate any dietary restrictions.
The address is 1179 State Farm Road Boone, NC 28607.
Our second community event is one to help nutrition students to gain professional experience. They will host an educational talk on nutrition and provide food to anyone who comes. These meetings will take place on March 21st, March 28th, April 4th, April 11th, and April 18th from 2:00pm-3:30pm.
We have attached the flyers below for the events. Please call 828-262-6628 or email with any questions. [email protected] or [email protected].
Thank you,
IPC Care Team
