We Are in the Final Stretch — Celebrating a Year of Impact and Excellence
As we approach the conclusion of what has been a fantastic year, I want to take a moment to recognize the people who made it all happen. A successful year for our Section doesn’t happen by chance—it’s the result of dedicated professionals working collaboratively toward a shared goal of service, education, and excellence in business law. Over the next few weeks, I’ll be spotlighting the individuals and committees who have made this term such a success.
First Up: Continuing Legal Education
Our CLE programming is the lifeblood of this Section, and this year it has been nothing short of extraordinary thanks to the tireless efforts of our CLE Committee and the leadership of Kathleen DiSanto and Judge Caryl Delano.
We set an ambitious goal at the start of the year for multiple programs. We set an ambitious goal this year of scheduling presentations for the entire year. We set an ambitious goal at the start of combining highly sophisticated programs with entry-level programs that helped our younger members learn our sophisticated programs. And on every level, Kathleen and Judge Delano didn’t just succeed – they knocked it out of the park!
We delivered top-tier programming that educated, inspired, and kept our members at the forefront of developments in business law. From timely updates on AI and cybersecurity to deep dives into bankruptcy and corporate governance, our CLEs reflected the very best of what this Section offers—substance, strategy, and service.
Not only did we offer quantity, but we offered quality. Our CLE events were relevant,
well-attended, and frequently praised by both members and the judiciary. This level of success requires coordination, creativity, and commitment. Thank you to every speaker, moderator, organizer, and volunteer who contributed your time and talents to make these programs possible.
Looking Ahead
In the coming weeks, I’ll highlight the contributions of our other pillars and the many others who give their time, energy, and vision to our mission.
