Prince of Peace

Weekly Update

November 19-26, 2025

Evening Prayer (Vespers)

Life’s preoccupations are relentless in pursuing our total attention. But in every circumstance, God’s presence is assured and is nearer to us than our own breath. Amidst the static, in silence, God’s voice emerges, calming our hearts, satisfying our longing. So, come away and rest a while with Evening Prayer and be reminded that the only thing that can name you is God’s love.

Please join us on Wednesday, November 19th at 6:30 p.m.

Brookfield Pantry Thanksgiving Wish List

The Brookfield food pantry is looking for several items to be donated for Thanksgiving.

Please click below to see the full list. All items would need to be dropped off at the church by Sunday 11/23.

Recruiting Worship Assistants

Every Sunday we receive innumerable blessings from volunteers who support our assembly in worship. We help one another to express the faith within us and our hunger for God. Our Sunday gathering is of immense importance – it is a visible expression of Christian community, and it is an actual encounter with God through the Good News of Jesus Christ. As a community it is our primary spiritual practice.

Perhaps you’ve wondered how you might help to nurture the faith of your siblings in Christ at Prince of Peace. Pastor Michael is recruiting Worship Assistants to be a part of Sunday morning worship and play a role in supporting the worship life of the congregation.

If you are interested in becoming a Worship Assistant or have questions, please contact him at pastor@princeofpeacebrookfield.org.

Thanksgiving Worship with

Brookfield Partner Churches!

Before you gather in your homes with your family and friends, come and gather with other people of faith for a community expression of thanks and unity.

Sunday, November 23, Prince of Peace will join its Brookfield ecumenical partner

congregations at Congregational Church of Brookfield

(160 Whisconier Road, Brookfield) for a community Thanksgiving worship service. The service will begin at 3:00 p.m.

Salvation Army

Angel Tree Program

We will once again be participating in the Salvation Army Angel Tree program.

The tags are available in the narthex. When you take a tag, please print your name clearly after the correct tag number on the sheet.

Please purchase the two gifts for each child as well as a piece of clothing.

Do not wrap the gifts. Be sure to securely fasten the entire tag on the outside of the gifts so they can be matched with the correct family.

All gifts are due back to the church by Sunday, December 7.

Our assembly benefits enormously from many people's generous sharing.

Thank you to everyone helping us all in our worship. If you wonder whether you might have a role in our Sunday gathering, please connect with Pastor Michael.
