July 2, 2020
Dear Friends in Christ:
Another week has gone by, and suddenly we are sitting in the heat of July! For many of us, not much has changed in our separate but common life together. So, this will be a shorter note than last time.

WORSHIP
We have five services each week--four are streamed online, and one is in person, for those who feel comfortable gathering together.
Sunday
:
8am we will open the doors for Morning Prayer, Rite I . We have 22 "booths" for seating, and members of a household can sit together. We can accommodate somewhere between 22 and 44 persons at this service. By way of a reminder, everyone
must
wear a mask, so please bring your own if possible--we will have a limited supply available if you forget. Everyone
must
enter through the parking lot doors, and provide contact information (if we don't already have it).
10am, we will stream Morning Prayer, Rite II. (This service will only be available online, due to restrictions against singing together.) Service outline

, and hymns

.
Tuesday
and
Thursday
: We will continue to stream The Great Litany and sung Compline at 7pm, on Facebook and at our website.
Wednesday
: at 12:30pm, we feature one of our lovely stained-glass windows with prayers, and musical accompaniment by Choirmaster Andrew Bolden. (Only on our
Facebook
page.)
More information on all our services can be found at the
Calendar
page of our Website.

WEEKLY PUZZLE
This week's window doesn't really have a name. You will find the puzzle by clicking
HERE
. You can choose your background color, number of puzzle pieces, and even set it to display just the edge pieces. Plus, you get a very affirming crowd reaction once you have completed it!
This small window (in the shadow box above the doorway behind the pulpit) depicts St. Timothy in the robes of the Bishop of Ephesus. It is English, from the 15th or 16th century, and was installed in the church in 1939.

YOUR WEEKEND
I hope you have a good holiday weekend--though it will certainly be an unusual one. If you do decide to go somewhere to see fireworks, please do be careful and safe. I think our family's plans include staying home and listening to hours and hours of local amateurs trying to outdo each other with pyrotechnics, as they have been for about a month now.
I leave you with this Collect for the nation, BCP page 258
Lord God Almighty, you have made all the peoples of the
earth for your glory, to serve you in freedom and in peace:
Give to the people of our country a zeal for justice and the
strength of forbearance, that we may use our liberty in
accordance with your gracious will; through Jesus Christ our
Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one
God, for ever and ever.
Amen
.
Let me know if I can be helpful.
Fr. George
