Dear Church Family,
I invite you to join us this Sunday, June 28th, for a historic milestone in the life of our congregation: the official dedication of our new Viscount organ.
This beautiful instrument bridges generations by embracing our rich musical heritage while looking toward the future with its advanced modern capabilities.
A Heartfelt Thank You
This dedication is only possible because of your incredible generosity. We offer our deepest thanks to everyone who gave to make this vision a reality, as well as to those who continue to sustain our ministry.
Music Selected for the Glory of God
In alignment with our historic faith, all music for this special day has been chosen to focus on worship, praise, and the unique role of music to the glory of God alone—Soli Deo Gloria.
Our specific dedication program highlights the vast capabilities of this instrument:
-
Prelude: Prelude and Fugue in C Minor by J.S. Bach. The Viscount will be configured to replicate the exact sound of a 1703 organ from Arnstadt, Germany, where Bach himself likely composed this piece. This opening selection connects us directly to the true roots of sacred organ music.
-
Offertory: Jesus Christ, Our Savior, Who Turned God's Wrath Away from Us by Johann Pachelbel. This reflective setting is based on a powerful hymn text by Martin Luther.
-
Postlude: Little Prelude and Fugue No. VII in A Minor by J.S. Bach. A joyful and brilliant conclusion to our celebration.
Come celebrate, sing, and experience the magnificent sound of our new instrument as we praise God together.
Blessings,
Brian Muller
