Weekly Update

June 24 - July 1, 2026

Life’s preoccupations are relentless in pursuing our total attention.

But in every circumstance, God’s presence is assured and is nearer to us than our own breath. Amidst the static, in silence, God’s voice emerges, calming our hearts, satisfying our longing. So, come away and rest a while with Evening Prayer and be reminded that the only thing that can name you is God’s love.

Please join us for Evening Prayer tonight, Wednesday, June 24 at 6:30 p.m.

Celebrating Our Faith:

Organ Dedication this Sunday, June 28th

Dear Church Family,

I invite you to join us this Sunday, June 28th, for a historic milestone in the life of our congregation: the official dedication of our new Viscount organ.

This beautiful instrument bridges generations by embracing our rich musical heritage while looking toward the future with its advanced modern capabilities.

A Heartfelt Thank You

This dedication is only possible because of your incredible generosity. We offer our deepest thanks to everyone who gave to make this vision a reality, as well as to those who continue to sustain our ministry.

Music Selected for the Glory of God

In alignment with our historic faith, all music for this special day has been chosen to focus on worship, praise, and the unique role of music to the glory of God alone—Soli Deo Gloria.

Our specific dedication program highlights the vast capabilities of this instrument:

  • Prelude: Prelude and Fugue in C Minor by J.S. Bach. The Viscount will be configured to replicate the exact sound of a 1703 organ from Arnstadt, Germany, where Bach himself likely composed this piece. This opening selection connects us directly to the true roots of sacred organ music.

  • Offertory: Jesus Christ, Our Savior, Who Turned God's Wrath Away from Us by Johann Pachelbel. This reflective setting is based on a powerful hymn text by Martin Luther.

  • Postlude: Little Prelude and Fugue No. VII in A Minor by J.S. Bach. A joyful and brilliant conclusion to our celebration.

Come celebrate, sing, and experience the magnificent sound of our new instrument as we praise God together.

Blessings,

Brian Muller

Your Voice, Your Song!

Do you have a favorite Hymn?

I'm sure all of us have at least one hymn or song that we enjoy and so with that question, it is your turn ... your voice, your song.  The worship and music committee are requesting that you consider submitting your favorite hymn or song once again this summer!

Request forms are available in the Narthex. All you need to do is fill it out and place it in the receptacle that can be found in the back of the Narthex. You may submit more than one as we will collect all submissions and use those hymns and/or songs as appropriate in the planning during the summer months. Hymns and songs are not limited to the ELW or ACS worship book. If you know one that is not in there, submit it as well and we will do our best to find it and we'll present something new.

As we go through the summer, we will also be publishing the hymns for each Sunday during the weekly update, so you'll know when yours is up!

Our assembly benefits enormously from many people's generous sharing.

Thank you to everyone helping us all in our worship. If you wonder whether you might have a role in our Sunday gathering, please connect with Pastor Michael.
