Culvert Repair Work Update

Alpine Project Update: Nightly closures from 8:00 pm to 6:30 am of all northbound lanes of Tavern Rd north of Alpine Blvd continue. Nighttime traffic will detour to the nearest freeway onramp. All lanes will reopen each morning. At this time, construction is anticipated to last four weeks.

ENERGY SAVINGS FOR RENTERS AND HOMEOWNERS

To help its customers keep their energy costs down, SDG&E launched a new program for renters and owners of single-family homes. The Residential Energy Solutions (RES) program has no income restrictions. Eligible customers receive no-cost upgrades such as smart thermostats, low-flow showerheads, brushless fan motors, HVAC services like air duct testing and sealing – and more. SDG&E has contracted with Synergy Companies to provide customers with energy efficiency audits from their experts. Customers can request a home visit at sdge.com/RES or by calling (888)272-8394.

SDG&E offers other assistance programs, too:

Neighbor-to-Neighbor – customers may receive up to $600 toward their past due energy bill
CARE – customers can save 30% or more off their energy bill
FERA – customers can receive an 18% discount on their electricity bill
ESA – no-cost energy-efficiency upgrades to income-qualified customers
Golden States Rebates program – incentives of $20 – $500 to buy high-efficiency water heaters, smart thermostats or room air conditioners
Arrearage Management Payment (AMP) Plan – debt forgiveness for past due bills for CARE and FERA customers

I-8 Pavement Replacement and Road Improvements

Project From Viejas Creek to Pine Valley Creek Look Ahead

Construction crews have modified the schedule from last week.

The eastbound I-8 east Willows Road on- and off-ramps will now be closed during daytime hours from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday and possibly Thursday. The change is needed due to some unforeseen issues at the materials site. The West Willows Road on- and off-ramps will remain open.

A short traffic break will take place on eastbound I-8 between West Willows Road and East Willows Road from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday and possibly Thursday, as crews move construction equipment from one side of the freeway to the other in anticipation of new concrete paving beginning Wednesday, July 5.

WORK PLANNED through July 6

Crews will be working behind the concrete barrier on Saturday, Sunday and Monday

No work will take place on Tuesday, July 4.

Wednesday, July 5 crews are expected to pave at the Viejas Creek Bridge.
