Labor Day Retreat 2024: A Spectacular Success!
Wow, what an incredible Labor Day Retreat! Our weekend was a whirlwind of activity and excitement, featuring the new and much-anticipated Corporate Counsel Roundtable, productive committee meetings, a whopping nine hours of CLE, thrilling football games, an unforgettable Casino Night, and a host of sports activities from bicycling and kayaking to golf. The evenings were filled with fine wine, exquisite scotch, and delightful dinners with fantastic friends. It truly was an unforgettable experience!
Looking Ahead: Spring Out of State Retreat in Quebec
Next up, we’re gearing up for an exhilarating Spring Retreat in Quebec! Get ready for an action-packed adventure with a hockey game in Montreal, insightful visits with government officials in Ottawa, and luxurious stays at the historic Hotel Queen Elizbeth in Montreal and the fabulous Chateau Frontenac in Quebec City, topped off with some sensational skiing. Haven't filled out the survey yet? Make sure to do so soon—we need your input to make this Retreat as spectacular as possible!
Save the Date: Florida Bar Winter Meeting
Mark your calendars! Our next in-person gathering will be during the Florida Bar Winter Meeting at the Rosen Shingle Creek, scheduled from January 22 through 25. While we await the final schedule from the Florida Bar, tentatively plan to join us on Thursday, January 23. As we're meeting in conjunction with the Big Bar, space will be limited so early planning is crucial. Committee chairs, please start holding your monthly meetings now to ensure your agendas and programs are well-prepared for January. Also, don't forget to schedule your CLEs soon as the calendar is quickly filling up.
New Feature in the Chair’s Message
We are rolling out a new feature in our weekly message, the Transitions and News announcements. Are you moving firms? Recently received an award? Have some other news to share with your friends in the Section? Send April Stone, Tracey Eller, Carly Hopkins and myself an email telling us your news and we will share it with the Section. This is going to be a great way to keep up with friends and colleagues.
Let’s keep the momentum going and make these upcoming events as successful and
enjoyable as our Labor Day Retreat! See you there!
