It's almost here! Final preparations are in full swing for what promises to be an incredible weekend. It all starts with the Corporate Counsel Roundtable at 4:30 p.m. on Friday, August 30 followed by a lively reception and our much-anticipated Welcome Dinner. With nine hours of CLE packed into one weekend, you can earn a full third of your cycle required CLE hours in one weekend while connecting with friends and colleagues. It’s not just a Retreat—it’s an opportunity you won’t want to miss! To the right is the full schedule.

Our Health and Wellness Task Force has been hard at work. Watch our social media outlets for weekly #MentalHealthMatters posts as well as a free webinar coming on September 26 titled A Cautionary Tale for Lawyers: Recognizing and Climbing out of Addiction.

BLS Member Benefit

BLS has officially changed the pricing for webinar CLEs to $95/credit hour as a benefit to our members. This new pricing applies to all live webcast, and aftermarket (CD/DVD/24-7 on demand) offerings. Health & Wellness CLEs remain free.

New CLE

The Electronic Discovery and Digital Evidence Committee will present Proportionality 101 on October 30, 2024. The seminar will explore the changes to Fla. Civ. P. R. 1.280 effective January 2025, to require discovery to be "proportional to the needs of the case". Using federal law examples, the seminar will explain the changes, in professionalism relating to meet and confer and practical tips and tricks.
