Giving Sunday


November 19 at 10 a.m.


On the Sunday before Thanksgiving, we will focus on the many and various ways to give back and offer thanks. The service will include favorite Thanksgiving hymns and a time of reflection on Jesus' Parable of the Talents. During announcment time, Josh Conlon, our treasurer, will speak about different ways to give and he will share about stewardship and supporting the congregation and its ministries through regular giving.

Preparing of Gift Bags for the Annual Foster Family Party

 

After worship on Christ the King Sunday, we celebrate the coming season of Advent and Christmas by decking the halls with our outdoor decorations as well as preparing gift bags for our Foster Family Party to be held on Saturday, December 2 from 11-1 at Trinity for nearly 100 children. A light lunch will be served.

Foster Family Holiday Party

11 a.m. to 1 p.m.


Trinity's Annual Foster Family Party will take place on Dec. 2nd from 11 am to 1 pm. Working with koinonia We will have games, serve lunch and have Santa come and visit. Each child will receive a goodie bag filled with stocking stuffers stuffed on Nov. 26 after worship.


If you can purchase or if you would like to donate any of the items on the following list please let Kathy, Julie or Nancy W. know.


Lunch: Pizza, Salads, Veggie tray, cheese and crackers, Desserts.


Party: Cookies to decorate and frosting.


Goodie bags:


25 bags for children under 3, with things such as board books, stuffed toys or items adequate for this age range.


75 Bags for children over 3, Fidgets, stuffed animals, play dough/slime, cars, small games, building sets, coloring books, puzzle books, tattoos, stickers, candy and snacks.


Volunteers are needed and will be very much appreciated, before, during or after for clean up. Everyone is welcome to help!


Please let Kathy, Nancy Wood or Julie know if you are donating money or items by Nov.12 th. On Nov 26th we will join together after worship to stuff goodie bags.

Its a Wonderful Life In Person-Radio Play Returns


Director Greg Cicchino returns to direct the Trinity players in this Holiday Classic complete with live music and sound effects. Immerse yourself in this powerful story of passion, greed, generosity, kindness, and the power of community. There will be three perfomances:


Friday, December 8 at 7 p.m.

Saturday, December 9 at 7 p.m.

Sunday, December 10 at 12 noon.

All Saints Remembrance Sunday

Embraced by music and readings, the commemoration of All Saints remembers both the living saints and the "great cloud of witnesses" that has gone before us.

51st Annual Southbay Interfaith Thanksgiving Service

American Martyrs Roman Catholic Church

Trinity Lutheran was one of the early congregations to be a part of this annual tradition which brings together people of all faiths to share in one song of thanksgiving. The service includes readings and reflections from many different traditions reflected in the greater South Bay community. The service begins with the indigenous custom of the blessing of the four directions with the gift of sage incense.

Saturday Spruce Ups @ Trinity

Join us Saturday mornings as we tidy up our campus!

When: Every Saturday morning, 9:00 - 10:30 am (except for rain).
Where: Meet in the parking lot.
What: Light clean up & maintenance (sweeping, weeding, cutting, pruning, minor gardening & fixes).
Brooms & tools on hand.

Very informal - come when you can; stay as long (or as short) as you like!
