New Muticultural Spervision Training
The Dakota County Regional Chamber of Commerce is teaming with Dakota County Technical College in Rosemount and Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development to offer businesses and organizations access to course work in Multicultural Supervision
With a new grant from the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development, will offer full financial support for individuals who participate in the seven courses (up to 17 credit hours), leading up to a full certificate from DCTC. Dakota County Technical College offers flexibility with how the courses are offered through both in-person and online options.
Leading the multicultural instruction is Dr. Harold Torrence, who developed the Multicultural Supervision certificate for Dakota County Technical College. Topics will include multicultural mentoring, managing diversity, international business, leading a multicultural workforce, and multicultural conflict resolution.

The Minnesota Chamber’s 2024 Washington, D.C. Fly-in will provide members the opportunity to hear from national policy leaders and advocate for business priorities with members of the Minnesota elected delegation. 2024 Farmington State of the City
It was a wonderful morning in Farmington for the 2024 State of the City presented by Mayor Joshua Hoyt. The Mayor covered all of the development, changes, and growth coming to the city. As he said the landscape and look of Farmington is changing and it is inevitable but the city is prepared, planning, and embracing the change. If you missed this address you can watch it on YouTube.

Meet the Fleet
The DCR Chamber joined the other 5 chambers in Dakota County for the Meet the Fleet event at the Empire Maintencance Facility. Attendees heard from Chair of the County Commissioners, Joe Atkins about the happenings in Dakota County, the Office of Performance & Analysis about the changing demographocs of Dakota County, and toured the facility including seeing all the vehicles, the woodshop, sign shop, and so much more. The event was sponsored by Xcel Energy.
