Chamber Day at the Capitol
Your DCR Chamber joined the Minnesota Chamber of Commerce and many others from around the state on April 11 for Chamber Day at the Capitol. DCR Chamber Members Dakota Electric, IAG Commercial, and others were at the Capitol to listen to representatives talk about the status of legislation impacting business issues and to speak with our legislators. Jon Althoff met with Rep. Liz Reyer and Senator Matt Klein on the topics of the cable broadband tax bill and solid waste plan, both of which will raise business and consumer costs if passed.

Young Professionals are invited to a fun, casual evening of connecting with other professionals from different industries across the region. The primary focus of this event is to make new connections but as a bonus a few financial advisors will be in attendance to provide their expertise, insights, and advice to help you be successful. This is a great opportunity to ask questions in a safe and comfortable environment.

Registration Deadline Extended
The deadline to register for the Meet the DCR Chamber Board Twins Game has been extended! You now have until this Friday, April 19th to register.
Join the DCR Board and fellow Chamber Members as the Twins take on the Seattle Mariners on May 7. Ticket admission includes $10 gift card towards food and beverage and an optional Target Field tour starting at 5:40 pm.

The DCR Chamber and City of Rosemount were onsite to welcome and celebrate New Horizon Academy breaking ground on their new location. This is their 102nd location in the country.

City of Farmington Launches New Website
The City of Farmington launched a new website on April 11th. Along with the new website there is also a new Farmington Fix Hub where residents can report issues while plotting the exact location of the problem they’re reporting on a map. You can learn more about the new website and Farmington Fix Hub by listening to The Farmington Feed, the city's podcast.

West St. Paul Clean-up
Join City Council Member Pat Armon and other volunteers on April 20 from 9:30 - 11:00 am for a park clean-up. Volunteers can pick up bags and litter grabbers (while supplies last) by the ice rink at Harmon Park. There will be coffee and pastries for volunteers. Those who bring back at least one bag of litter will be entered into a drawing for gift certificates!
