October 3rd, 2025

Last Sunday we talked about life beyond life — the promise that resurrection isn’t just about the future, but a reality that begins here and now with Jesus. I’ve been thinking all week about what it means to live with that kind of hope shaping our everyday lives.

This Sunday we’re going to shift gears and look at a story in Joshua that, honestly, has made a lot of people scratch their heads. It’s a strange passage, but also a powerful one, because it shows us something about God’s power and faithfulness when His people needed Him most.

My hope is that wherever you’re at — whether you’re curious, questioning, or have been walking with Jesus for years — you’ll find encouragement as we open His Word together.

OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD SHOEBOX GIFTS

We had a great time at the OCC Project Leader meeting in Vancouver. We love the inspiration you get from other leaders for the ministry of reaching children around the world with the love of Jesus. Jennifer was first in line to get her picture wearing the Shoebox. 

Our packing party this year is Saturday, November 15th from 1-4pm in FCC Fellowship Hall.  If you would like to help set everything out so we are ready to start on time, we will be there at 10am.   

Please bring your gifts to fill your shoeboxes (we have 325 boxes), $10 for postage and handling (checks made out to Samaritan's Purse for OCC Shoeboxes) and join us for a fun afternoon of packing the love of Jesus into every box.  

We now have plenty of stuffed animals, washcloths and crayons. We need the following: soccer balls with small air pumps; new Barbie dolls; 3" bouncy balls; small cars; toys for all ages for boys and girls; and more.
