NEW MINISTRY CELEBRATION

How do you begin to describe the beauty of Grace Church? You might start by describing our little church building. It is, after all, the picture perfect image of a small country church. Or, you might describe the grounds and the daffodils that line the front walk in the spring. You might mention something about coffee hour and the good food that is always shared. However, I think we can all agree that the most beautiful part of Grace Church is YOU! We are blessed to have such a caring church family and each and every one of you makes this place special.

The beauty of Grace was evident on Sunday as we celebrated our ministry together. Many thanks to everyone who put in hours of work to make this day possible. It was good to see so many friends and community members as we shared our stories of what makes Grace such an important part of our lives. May our years ahead be blessed as we grow in Christ together and serve God in the world.

Announcements

TWO SERVICES START THIS WEEKEND - Don't forget that we will resume our 2 service schedule this Sunday, September 16th! We will worship at 9 am and 11 am. Nursery care is now available at the 11 am service.

BAD WEATHER POLICY - We are praying hard that Hurricane Florence does not greatly impact our area. However, if we experience a power loss or if flooding makes it too dangerous to drive, we will cancel services by Saturday night. Please check your emails to keep updated.

VESTRY MEETING - Vestry will meet this Sunday, September 16th (weather permitting) after the 11 am service.

THURSDAY MORNING STUDY - We will kick off our Thursday morning study on September 20th from 10:00 am to 11:30 am. We will have a discussion for 2 weeks on the book, Soul of America by John Meacham. Please purchase your own copy and email Cindy if you plan to participate.

BROWN BAG MEALS - The Brown Bag Meals Program has begun. If you would like to help us pack up bags please sign up on the bulletin board in the Parish House and/or contact Betsy Wright for details.

HOLIDAY BAZAAR - Grace Church ECW will have a table at the Holiday Bazaar on Saturday, November 10th . We need items to sell! If you make any crafts, gifts, ornaments, etc., please start making them now! Big thanks to Cheryl Chambers for volunteering to coordinate this table. Please contact Cheryl at  cgrammy25@aol.com  if you have any questions regarding what you would like to make/sell.
