The Great Reimagining
January 30th at 10:30 am
A Circle Sunday Service hosted by First Parish Northborough
led by Rev. Laurel Gray, Rev. Lynda Sutherland, and Rev. Alice Anacheka-Nasemann
Living through a global pandemic has created rapid and seemingly constant change in our daily lives. This Sunday we'll reflect together about the ways that this dramatic unfolding has called us all into a great reimagining of how to build a more loving and just society, how to root more fully in our deepest values and believe in the impossible becoming possible.
Please note that there is a different zoom link and dial-in info for this service.

The CommUUnity Collaborative is launching!
This is a joint endeavor to provide religious education and enrichment for adults, similar to the Circle RE Coop for our kids and youth. This program is in collaboration with about a half dozen other UU congregations in Massachusetts, with different classes and groups led by our ministers.
Rev. Laurel will be teaching Coming of Age for adults. Please see the CommUUnity Collab website for details and registration.

Greetings Circle RE Community!
I'm excited to see that Covid cases are on the downswing, and am hoping that trend continues! I think that, given our population, I'd like to wait for Circle RE to reconvene in person until February, tentatively on the 2nd and 4th Sundays (the 13th & 27th). We will continue to watch Covid numbers and keep you all updated.
In the meantime, all Circle youth (including YG!) will be getting a very special email invitation on Friday or Saturday of this week. Please keep an eye out, and give your child(ren) their invitation when it arrives (feel free to print it out!). There will be a few activities available through their letter (with web addresses) and I'll be sure to get that info to parents as well.
Future OWL Facilitators Needed! We are short on OWL Facilitators this year and will be looking to get a few people trained. If you're interested in becoming an OWL Facilitator (it's amazing training, and leading this program is a powerful gift to yourself and our teens!), please get in touch with me ASAP. I will say that I know I'm in need of female-identifying or non-binary Facilitators, but please reach out regardless. To learn more about becoming an OWL Facilitator visit: OWL Facilitators Link.
Bright Blessings, Cynthia

Please note that Rev. Laurel will be attending a conference next week (Mon - Fri), so her office hours will be extremely limited and email response time will be slowed. If something is urgent, please text her on her cell phone, 401-932-7855.

AUCTION TEAM NEEDED
We are gearing up for our major fundraiser planned on April 30th. This is a request for you to join a team to put together the items and plan - we hope to have the event in person this year, pending COVID safety protocols.
This is a rewarding opportunity for all concerned! Please consider being part of this great event and reach out to the board at Board@uucsw.org and "put in your bid” NOW to help it succeed.
With sincere thanks from your congregation!

The Landscape of White Supremacist Activity in New England
Sundays, February 6th & February 13th @ 6:30-8pm
Come take part in a two part series led by SURJ Boston members and UUs Liz Martin and Elena Garofoli.
The goal of this series is to become more aware of the groups and people who are actively engaged in white supremacist activity locally and to discuss opportunities for action.
Attendance at both sessions is encouraged, but attending only one session is also welcome.
This is not a public event, but rather is open to friends and members of Showing Up for Racial Justice Worcester and Worcester county UUs.
