Money Matters

Is Your Automated Giving Set Up for the new fiscal year? We are thrilled that so many of you use automated giving, either through Realm or your bank's bill payer system. Now that we are two months into our new fiscal year, this is a good time to verify that your payments are set-up and going out correctly to fulfill your FY23_24 pledge. Remember that in Realm setting up automated giving is a separate task from making a pledge.  If you have any questions, you can contact Lisa Shumway at [email protected] or Susie Wells at [email protected].

Book Group

The book this month is Save Me the Plums by Ruth Reichl. The September 8th feast will be hosted by Judith Nicholson, 49 Lackey St.

Contact Susie Wells at [email protected] with any questions.

From the Racial Justice Committee:

Infant Clothing Needed! You are invited to help us answer the call from Dr. Sara Shields from the Family Health Center of Worcester (FHCW)  Recall that Dr. Shields spoke to us this past Spring during a Sunday service about maternal health and infant mortality. The FHCW Baby Shop is running low on supplies. We have collected and donated items in the past. The Baby Shop is currently in need of infant clothing sized newborn through 24 months. The Racial Justice Committee sees this action as a nod toward helping those harmed by social systems that created unfair circumstances. Collections will be Sunday August 20 immediately before and after the service; and again, on Thursday August 24 during the traditional SMOC collection time. Stay tuned for a September collection date. For alternative drop off arrangements please contact Pauline at [email protected]; for other questions please text/call Nancy at 508-259-0923. Thank you!

Westborough for Life!

Stay. Connect. Thrive.

We will be participating as an exhibitor in the upcoming Westborough Connects event - Westborough for Life! Stay. Connect. Thrive., taking place at Westborough High School on Sunday, September 10th from 1-4 pm. This free community program is aimed at adults from age 45-99+. Through an expo featuring community clubs, businesses, and organizations; a variety of mini courses; and participation in fun activities aka "funtivities," the event offers many ways to connect and live well in Westborough. Whether you are curious about opportunities to join local organizations, you want to feel like a kid going back to school by taking a short course on an interesting topic, or you’ve always wanted to try your hand at activities such as salsa dancing or pickleball, this event is for you. Stop in anytime during the day- or stay the whole time. Invite local friends, family and neighbors, too. We hope to see you there.

For more information, check out the event page: , or visit or ask us!
