Greetings Circle RE Community!
Provided that Covid numbers continue to trend downward, I would like to plan for our first 2022 in-person Circle RE meeting on Sunday, Feb. 27th. This will most likely be an afternoon session, as I don't know that all three congregations will be in-person by that date, but I will make a firmer decision about time as we get closer.
We had a wonderful time in the pop-up tracking program that ran this past Tuesday. Some of our more exciting finds included the tracks of a coyote that galloped across the front lawn of First Parish and evidence of a small animal - mouse or shrew - that got scooped up by a raptor as a meal. We could see the tail drag and wingtips in the snow where the bird dropped down for its prey.
We also discussed the idea of tracking as a mindful practice. I will be posting an article on the Circle RE blog with ways you can try this practice for yourself at home. No tracking experience needed - just a sense of curiosity! I will send a link to the article when it's posted.
Youth Group
I am planning an outing to Central MA Rocks in Worcester for the teen Youth Group later this month. This trip will be the start of adventure-focused programming that will run through the spring. Youth Group families will get an email this week with more information and some proposed dates for our outing - stay tuned!
