Congregational Meeting

Dear Members and Friends of Prince of Peace:

You are invited to a special congregational meeting, Sunday, September 29, 2024 at 11:15 a.m. immediately following our 10:00 a.m. worship.

I encourage you to attend this meeting so that you can be well informed about the following ministry agenda items:

1) Approval of Agenda

2) Presentation and votes regarding

the Organ - Brian Muller

VOTE: Approval to pursue a new organ.
VOTE: Approval to fundraise up to $250,000 for a new organ.
VOTE: Approval to borrow up to $100,000 from Misty Hollow funds after $150,000 has been fundraised with the intention to pay back as fundraising continues.

3) Presentation and vote on the Air

Conditioning Project- Steve Kleppin

VOTE: Approval to use up to $100,000 for air conditioning and related roof repairs from the capital improvement funds account.

You do not have to be a member of Prince of Peace to attend this meeting, but only members can make motions or vote.

Thursday, September 26 at 6:00 p.m.

Life’s preoccupations are relentless in pursuing our total attention. But in every circumstance, God’s presence is assured, and is nearer to us than our own breath. Amidst the static, in silence, God’s voice emerges, calming our hearts, satisfying our longing.

So, come away and rest a while at September Evening Prayer, and be reminded that the only thing that can name you is God’s love.

Evening Prayer will be followed by time for fellowship at Newbury Gelato, 317 Federal Rd., Brookfield.

End of Summer Church Partner Picnic

Please join us at the end of summer Church Partner Picnic!

On Sunday, September 29 at 1:00 p.m. at Prince of Peace, our friends from Valley Presbyterian and the Congregational Church of Brookfield are joining us for an afternoon of fellowship, food, and fun! We’ll celebrate our unity in Christ and make meaningful connections.

We encourage everyone to wear their favorite sports team jersey—whether you’re a football fanatic, baseball buff, hoops hero, or hockey diehard, let’s show off our team spirit! Bring your lawn games and get ready for some friendly competition.

We ask each family to bring a main – dust off your favorite recipe. The other congregations will be bringing sides, desserts, and drinks.

There will be a sign-up sheet in the narthex – let us know that you’re coming and what main you’ll bring. Or you can sign-up by clicking the link below. There is also a separate link to RSVP and sign up to help.

The offering plate will be passed during the anthem. Please help the ushers by passing the plate down your row.
