From the Principal's Desk
II hope all of you are well on this warm, sunny Friday. This week we learned that the churches in our diocese will be preparing to celebrate masses again with our parishioners, and will have provisions in place so that we will continue to adhere to current safety guidelines. Additionally, plans are underway for our 8th grade graduation to be held onsite, so that the students may celebrate the Mass together, along with their immediate family members. Parents of eighth graders will receive more information in an email this weekend. We are also discussing and planning for the end of the year, with arrangements for textbooks to be dropped off during the first two days in June and for students to receive their much deserved awards from their teachers.
I am happy to announce that Ms. Mikala Edenfield will be joining the Epiphany Catholic School faculty as our new First Grade teacher next year. We are also making some shifts in our faculty in grades 5-8. Beginning next school year, Mrs. McCray will be teaching fifth grade Math in place of Technology, Mr. Wilson will be teaching 5th grade Social Studies, in addition to 6-8, and Mrs. Hutchinson will teach 5th grade English, Reading, and Science along with Technology for grades 3-8.
We will continue to advertise for a part-time certified School Guidance Counselor and a part-time middle school math teacher for 7th math, Pre-Algebra and high school Honors Algebra 1.
As this Sunday is Mother's Day, I would like to extend a very Happy Mother's Day to all of you. May the day be filled with faith, hope and joy and you make new memories with your families.
Yours In Christ,
Rita M. Klenk
