Epiphany Catholic School fosters high expectations in a Christ centered environment for all students in

within the Catholic tradition.
From the Principal's Desk
This week our students spent the week celebrating The Feast of the Immaculate Conception and the Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe. Catholic students in grades 3-8 also participated in the sacrament of reconciliation as part of their preparation for Christmas, during this second week of Advent. Our Drama Club depicted the events of our Lady of Guadalupe’s apparitions in Mexico in 1531. Watching the students and faculty process into the church yesterday morning with flowers, in honor of Our Lady’s feast day was very moving. We also participated in the prayers for vocations, by receiving the traveling chalice at Mass on Sunday. The chalice travels from family to family on a weekly basis. Each family, in this case, the Epiphany Catholic School family, prays a series of prayers each day for our religious. After the joyous celebration of the birth of Christ at our Christmas Program last Friday, it seems fitting that we remember those who are discerning or are already called to religious life. Many thanks to Amy Baughman, Julie Ishler, Sr. Annie, Sr. Philomina and Mrs. Sonia Romero for directing our Christmas Program and Our Lady of Guadalupe play. Additional thanks to the faculty, parents and parishioners who helped “behind the scenes” to make these events so memorable. Without everyone’s support, these activities would not be possible!
Thank you to all who adopted angels from the Angel Tree and provided gifts for children in our local community. Catholic Charities was extremely touched and grateful for the generosity of our Epiphany Church and the School’s participation in this annual act of kindness.
As we embark on the remaining week of school prior to the Christmas break, please make sure that students are arriving prepared for their last quizzes, tests, and midterms for this marking quarter. With the busyness of the season, it is important for the students to get their rest to ensure the most success.
Have a peaceful and family oriented weekend.
