A Message from Vicar Chantal

Dear Oak Knoll Lutheran Church,

My has this time flown by. It feels as if it was just yesterday I was beginning my internship here at Oak Knoll. It is hard to believe that my year is done, and it is time for me to say goodbye. I am eternally grateful for all that you have done for me this year. From the very beginning, I could tell that this was going to be a year full of so much love and support from you all. I have grown so much in my pastoral identity this year, and I could not have done it without you all.

As I get ready for the next stop in my journey, and get ready to begin a Clinical Pastoral Education Residency at Methodist Hospital, I leave with a heart that is excited for my new adventure, is overflowing with the love from you all, and is also sad to say goodbye. This year of ministry we have shared together is one that will stay with me long into my ministry.

May God continue to bless each and everyone of you. And I can't wait to invite you all to my ordination (which I will definitely be hosting here at Oak Knoll).

Peace,

Vicar Chantal Branker

Global Refuge works to help refugees get established. They assist with securing housing, finding employment, enrolling in school and English classes, connecting to medical care and orienting them to their community.

They work through local community programs like Camino a Casa, a program that provides youth in Guatemala with support for successful integration, and the Circle of Welcome through LSS which offers community support and co-sponsorship of refugee families.

Your donations to Global Refuge help fund these services for refugees.
