Ladies Bible Study starts August 9

Tuesdays at 10:30 am in Room C-207

We're studying The Book of Ruth by Bianca Juarez Olthoff.

God can seem distant when dreams fade, people die, or careers fail. It may feel like He slammed the door in your face and walked out for good. No one knows the feeling of abandonment more than Ruth and Naomi. Their story begins with the worst—death, famine, and poverty. And God remains silent.

But the book of Ruth doesn’t end with despair. The story brims with hope because God works on behalf of the two widows in ways they least expect.

Walk the journey of Ruth, Naomi, and Boaz and discover the devoted love of God and His transformative power in our lives.

Materials are provided.

Let us know you are coming by registering.

Helping Hands Volunteers!

From time to time, we receive requests to provide meals, help with yard work or housecleaning, or provide transportation.

If you can help with any of this, please contact Pastor Angie to be added to the group. You will be contacted when there is a need. There is never an obligation to say yes, we just need people that might be available from time to time.

Stephen Ministry Training Starts Soon

Stephen Ministers are lay congregation members trained to provide one-to-one care to those experiencing a difficult time in life, such as grief, divorce, job loss, chronic or terminal illness, or relocation. Stephen Ministers come from all walks of life, but they all share a passion for bringing Christ’s love and care to people during a time of need.

Here is a testimony of Abby, stay-at-home Mom:

"The biggest lesson I learned was the importance of listening—and it’s helped me not only with my care receiver, but also with my husband and three kids. All the distractions we have today can get in the way of really having meaningful conversations, but Stephen Minister training has helped me to stop, listen, ask follow-up questions, and be more emotionally available.

Whoever you are or whatever experiences you bring, you can learn valuable caring skills through Stephen Minister training.”

If you feel called to this ministry, register now and someone will contact you with more details. If you or someone you know, would like a Stephen Minister, contact Pastor Angie.

What we're learning in July:

PRESCHOOL & ELEMENTARY

A 5-WEEK SERIES FROM THE OLD TESTAMENT ON ELISHA

SERIES OVERVIEW:

We learn about so many incredible humans — past and present — who have changed the world using their influence, their voice, their dreams, and their passion. Kids might find it hard to relate to these dreamers, though, and ask themselves, “Can God use me for something that grand?” In Up In The Air, kids will learn through the stories of Elisha that we can dream big with God, have faith in God, count on God’s promises, ask God for what we need, and be used by God. The sky isn’t the limit anymore . . . not with God’s promises at work in our lives!

YOUTH

A 4-WEEK SERIES FROM THE EPISTLES ON FAMILY

SERIES OVERVIEW:

“Family” is a concept understood all over the world, in every country, culture, and language, but no two families are the same. We all have our unique family structures, quirks, traditions, values, problems, and dysfunctions. It's not always easy to love our families (or even like them sometimes), but the Bible is full of guidance on how to love each other well — we just have to be willing to apply that at home. In this 4-week series, we’ll take a look at some of the lessons learned by Jesus-followers in the early days of the church, because learning how to be part of God’s family might help us learn how to be part of our own families. In God’s family, we support each other, pray for each other, reconcile with each other, and love each other.
