Throughout the challenges of this year, Upstate has been working closely with our community and regional partners to administer and coordinate business resources which help to understand and offset some of the impacts the pandemic has had on businesses. Attached is a Fall 2020 Business Pulse survey that the NoCo REDI collaborative has assembled, which takes about 10 minutes to complete and will be used to align Q1 initiatives with the needs of Northern Colorado businesses as we plan for 2021.

All responses will be kept confidential among Upstate Partners, and results will only be reported in aggregate, without identifying details of any specific business. As with the previous surveys, communities will have access to the business responses from their community.
Thank you for your participation and assistance in helping us collect information to better serve our business community in our recovery efforts.

Connections for Independent Living is looking to establish relationships with local business so that in the future we may be able to connect possible employees with employers. Currently, we are reaching out to businesses in your region, learning about what they do and what their potential future needs may be for employees. Please contact Amber at (970) 324-6779, or by email at, for more information.
Connections is one of nine Independent Living Centers for Colorado residents who live with disabilities. Our Greeley-based nonprofit organization serves individuals in Weld, Morgan, Logan, Washington, Sedgwick, Yuma, and Phillips Counties.
Free Legal Advice in Colorado
COVID-19 Assistance: Free Legal Advice & Help for Colorado Small Businesses
Small businesses provide half of Colorado’s jobs. They have been especially hard-hit by the COVID-19 economic crisis, with minority and woman-owned small businesses being hit the hardest. Volunteer attorneys have offered to provide legal help to Colorado’s small businesses so they can get back on their feet.
This website was created to match small businesses that need limited free legal advice regarding COVID-19 related issues with volunteer lawyers. If you are a small business that needs legal help, you can submit an application and we will ask our volunteer lawyers if they are willing to assist you. If you are a lawyer who wants to help, please sign up to volunteer.
The site also includes other resources available to small businesses, particularly minority and woman-owned small businesses, to meet the challenges of the pandemic. If you identify resources you think we should add to the website, please let us know.

PPP Forgiveness Forms
If you received a PPP Loan, please start this process to get forgiveness/repayment in process. Not all of the loan can be forgiven but a percentage can and you earned it!!
The SBA and Treasury have put out today a simpler loan forgiveness application for PPP loans of $50,000 or less. As many of you know, SBA began approving forgiveness applications as of October 2, and that process continues. As always, encourage your members or businesses your work with and counsel to work in conjunction with their lender.
I have attached three documents, and linked to them below as well:
  1. Simpler loan forgiveness application (Form 3508S):
  2. Instruction for completing the above application:
  3. Interim Final Rule on the loan forgiveness process:

Peak Form Medical Clinic Integrates Contact-less Temperature Screening Kiosk for Patients and Staff
Peak Form Medical Clinic, an essential business providing worker’s compensation injury care, physical therapy, and drug screening throughout the pandemic has instituted the use of a contact-less kiosk to accurately measure temperature of
patients and staff to aid in the check-in process to further minimize exposure risk in clinic.
The device includes a function which will identify staff and automatically log their temperatures prior to starting their shift. In addition, patient’s temperatures will be checked prior to entering the clinic, and the kiosk will be able to detect whether patients are wearing a mask and if not, the
device will verbally prompt them to put one on.
“We feel the investment of instituting the kiosk speaks directly to our mission and will provide patients and employers we partner with the confidence to continue to seek the medical services they need,” says Jeanette Hrubes, owner and CEO.
The Clinic has all CDC recommended safety guidelines in place to protect patients and staff; such as wearing masks and reducing the number of people in the clinic at any one time to maintain social distancing. The use of the high-tech kiosk will further enhance the protections to safely provide comprehensive care with a personal touch through promoting the health and
productivity of workers, their families and communities.
