Dr. Resciniti's Gingerbread House Has Arrived
The Concord Free Public Library's holiday season would not be complete without the magnificent gingerbread houses made by Dr. Resciniti. A few days ago, Dr. Resciniti, with the help of her friends, delivered this year's gingerbread house to the Main Library, now on display in the Lobby until mid-January.
This is the 30th gingerbread house Dr. Resciniti, a surgeon at Emerson Hospital, has crafted and donated to the Concord Free Public Library since 1993. The new gingerbread house is made of 28 batches of gingerbread. It took her one month to make. It is the tallest gingerbread house ever made by Dr. Resciniti.
We thank Dr. Resciniti (pictured with the new gingerbread house) for her time and generosity.

Virtual Films at Fowler: An Extra Added Attraction
A Man and a Woman (1966)
Wednesday, December 11, 7:00 p.m.
(Discussion Date on Zoom)
A man and a woman, both widowed, meet at the boarding school their children attend. They take walks, eat in restaurants, and drive in the rain, all to the astonishingly lyrical music of Francis Lai (the soundtrack album for the film was a bestseller). The film is directed by Claude Lelouch and starring Anouk Aimée and Jean-Louis Trintignant.
This film is not on the original schedule for the fall, but is included as an Extra Added Attraction—a holiday bonbon—for the end of the year.
Please watch the film on Kanopy before the discussion. To register for the discussion and receive a Zoom link, send an email to the Coordinator of the program Randall Warniers at FilmsatFowler@concordlibrary.org. Virtual Films at Fowler is sponsored by the Friends of the Concord Free Public Library.
