Our Makerspace Workshop's Audio/Visual Lab is now live and can be reserved by the public.
Each reservation can be up to 4 hours long and includes all the tools in the room, including:
- a Podcasting Kit that includes two microphones and a mixer,
- a Video Kit that includes a 4K digital camcorder, tripod, optional clip-on microphones, three standing lights, green screen, black fabric backdrop, and a small collection of props and accessories,
- a 25" Pop-Up Photography Studio with black and white backdrops and DSLR camera, and
- an Editing Booth that includes two 4K monitors compatible with the Workshop's Macbooks and any USB-C equipped device, noise-reducing acoustic paneling, tabletop speakers, and an electric sit/stand desk.

Walk for Wellbeing: A Mindful Practice for the Library Community

It is a new year to engage with nature for greater wellbeing. Community members are invited to meet at the Main Library's Sudbury Road entrance and head to Emerson Field, where we will walk to the trees and try simple mindful practices that settle the nervous system. On the way back we will share inspiring book titles and return to the Main Library refreshed and ready for a new story. Led by our mindful wellness educator, Lara Wilson. Drop in to this middle school game of Dungeons and Dragons: Settling Debt. Build your character, pick your gear, and lay waste to nasty critters with a roll of the dice! Please note - If you wish to drop in, please have a level 3 character ready to go, or, see Erick at the Teen desk (sometime before game day) to build one.

In order to prepare for the next season of storytimes and special events, the Children's Library is taking a two-week break from all programming (except Baby Storytime). Baby Storytime continues at its regular time, Wednesdays at 11:30 a.m. We will return on Tuesday, January 21. In the meantime, please enjoy the wonderful events at our Fowler Branch Library in West Concord.

Read to a Dog at Fowler

Join Samantha, a young golden retriever, on the 3rd Thursday of the month for a 10-15 minute reading session. No advance registration required. When you arrive, sign up and choose a book to read, and we will do our best to accommodate all interested participants! This program is designed for developing readers of all ages.
