Bible Reading Plan:

Join Lawndale in reading through the entire New Testament in 2024 with the NT Bible Reading Plan. Hard copies are located throughout the church. The five passages for the week of Jan. 29-Feb. 4 are below.

Meaningful Motion:

This weekly stretching class for ladies meets Wednesdays @ 8:15 am in the Chapel. Each session includes an emphasis on Scripture.

Weekly Women in the Word (WWW):

A study on Rahab and Ruth meets Wednesdays @ 9 am in the Chapel. This intergenerational study is for women of all ages and is taught by Dr. Donna Navey. There is no registration.

Wednesday Evening Activities:

5 pm - Family meal (register in advance online or by calling the church office by noon the day prior)


6:15 pm - Adult Bible Study, Choir, Gopher Buddies, Olympians, Fusion, and Single Adults Discipleship in House A (1st & 3rd Wednesdays of each month).


MOMS Class:

This discipleship and fellowship class for mothers of young children meets Mondays from 9-11 am in the Fellowship Hall. The cost is $15 ($30 if childcare is needed). Registration closes tomorrow.


Lawndale Ladies' Book Club:

Our 2024 Kickoff will be Jan. 30 from 6-8 pm in the Chapel. Come enjoy desserts, coffee, tea, fellowship and learn more about the club's plans this year. Bring your favorite book for a fun icebreaker! Questions? Email Maddie.


Parents Night Out:

Parents, enjoy a night out while your children (babies-5th grade) enjoy Bible time, games, and crafts Feb. 9 from 6-8 pm in the Children's Area. We ask that children eat before they arrive; we will provide snacks. Register today!

Healing Hearts: A Widows Ministry

Feb. 10 @ 10 am, Fellowship Hall - A blast from the past…It’s SHARING time…we will each take 2-3 minutes to share a favorite photo, memory, or event in our lives. It’s a great time to learn more about each other! ALL widows are warmly invited to attend! Please note: You do not need to RSVP. We look forward to seeing YOU!

Precept Bible Study for Ladies:

A new study on 1 Peter will begin Feb. 13. This ongoing study meets Tuesdays @ 10 am in room 236. Workbooks are $18. Register and pay in the church office or with Marjorie Martin.


Cancer Ministry:

Hope In The Journey is a nine-week cancer ministry with a biblical focus for cancer patients and caregivers. The group will meet on Thursdays beginning Feb. 29 from 7-8:30 PM in room 217. There is no cost to participate or for materials. Register online or by calling the church office.

Student Weekend:

All students are welcome to attend "One Above All" March 15-17. Students will stay in host homes and participate in a block party, large group sessions, small groups and more here at Lawndale. Register now ($75 per student).

Marriage Preparation Class:

Online registration is now open for Tying the Knot, a six-week series taught by Rodney Navey beginning Apr. 3 in room 320 (6:15-7:30 pm). Sessions are based on the book of the same name (free to all participants) and cover biblical principles of marriage along with personality, birth order, and other factors in building a healthy relationship and marriage.


Clothing Ministry:

The Lilies of the Field clothing ministry is currently accepting donations for young children's clothing (sizes needed: newborn through 5T).



Shepherd's Shelf Donation Request:

Throughout the month of January, Shepherd's Shelf is requesting cans of chili with beans and saltine crackers. Please drop off cans on the table in the small hall near the receptionist's window.
