Three Quarters In

Every year! Every year I am amazed when we finish the third quarter. Every year. And here we are. On Monday, we will begin the last quarter of the 2025-26 school year. Impossible!? But true!

Parent conferences are set for next week (March 19 and 20). Our students will begin their final quarter of the year; for some, it will be their final quarter at Trident Academy. This year we will graduate four seniors and transition twelve others, eight of whom will have completed a full transition year. We are excited for our graduates and transition students; we expect them to soar like the Seahawks they are!

There are many Trident traditions that happen in the last quarter of the year:

  • Spring Break: April 3-10, returning to school on Monday, April 13
  • Grandparents & Special Friends Day: April 17
  • Field Day: April 24
  • End of year testing: April 27 - May 7
  • Celebration Ceremonies!: May 20

More information about these events to come!

Our SAIS re-accreditation visit has been rescheduled for March 25 - 27. We are excited to welcome the visiting team so they can witness the great work we do with your children!

Temperatures this weekend are predicted to be a bit cooler. If you haven’t heard the old adage about Charleston weather, here it is: If you don’t like the temperature/weather, wait ten minutes, it will change!

Blessings,

Betsy

Uniforms!
As our students have grown since the start of school, several of them have begun to outgrow their shirts, shorts, and skirts. To purchase
Trident Academy gear, please visit our school spirit store here >> Trident Academy Gear. We also have a large collection of gently used Trident-branded items available at school in a variety of sizes.

In addition, with many students wearing identical school-branded items that end up in our lost and found, please be sure your child's Trident gear is labeled with their name.

WHAT'S HAPPENING ON CAMPUS:

Happy Pi Day from Trident Academy! The students who successfully recited the most digits of pi earned the ultimate reward: the chance to "pie" their teachers!

Our High School students headed to Charles Towne Landing this week to immerse themselves in the unique intersection of Lowcountry history and nature. From exploring Lowcounty wildlife to biking the scenic marsh trails, our Seahawks got an up-close look at the first permanent European settlement in South Carolina.

A huge congratulations to our 6th grader, Easton, for his incredible performance at the Crusaders Archery Tournament this weekend, where he placed 5th overall in the boys' division!

Our fourth graders are putting their persuasive writing skills to the ultimate test. As part of their current unit, students have been busy crafting compelling letters to their parents, making "big asks" for things they are hoping to get or do.

Beyond just writing, they practiced the important life skills of properly structuring a formal letter and addressing an envelope. The highlight of the week? A visit to Ms. Kappy to use the stamp meter and officially send their arguments through the mail!
