WHAT'S HAPPENING ON CAMPUS:

Our 4th graders stepped back in time to learn about mercantilism and the economy of the 13 colonies! Our high school students played the role of the King and Queen of England, while the 4th graders were the colonists. The "colonists" had to earn resources through different exercises and then sell them to the "monarchs," experiencing firsthand the challenges of the colonial economy. What a memorable way to learn history!

Our high school students used nachos to learn about narrative writing, discovering that a great story, just like a great plate of nachos, needs layers. They explored exposition, rising action, climax, falling action, and resolution, understanding that each layer is essential to making a story complete. What a delicious way to learn!

Our middle schoolers are mastering teamwork and patience! They put their skills to the test this week, carefully building houses of cards and collaborating to build a tower of cups without touching them.

Our 2nd and 3rd graders were hard at work this week, bringing the classic fable of "The Ant and the Grasshopper" to life! They channeled their inner storytellers and artists, designing and building dioramas to showcase their understanding of the story. They even got to use our new "Chomp Saw," a kid-safe power tool designed to cut cardboard, to construct their dioramas.

Our students are fully engaged in a variety of review games to master beginning blends, ending blends, and digraphs. What a great way to make learning stick!
