Hello, Trident Academy Family. Here is your news for the coming week.
Weekly Updates
Head of School
September Arrives!

Sometimes in the mornings, I feel just the slightest breath of cool air. This causes my heart to leap inside my chest as I begin to anticipate "sweater" weather. By the end of the day, however, we are right back to "sweat" weather!

September is a crazy weather time in the Lowcountry. Just when you think it's going to get cooler or stay cool, a blast of hot tropical air, sometimes in the form of a hurricane comes blasting onto shore!

We will closely monitor the tropics for the next several weeks. If evacuations are ordered or if public schools close so as to open shelters, Trident Academy will close. Sometimes it seems frivolous to do so; sometimes the track changes and they don't come close to us. But then, sometimes they do hit and we all need to be prepared and safe.

In the event that we do close for a hurricane (or any other weather event), teachers will post assignments in RenWeb so that we can keep the academic juices flowing. We will reopen school when we know our building is safe and roads are passable. (This may or may not coincide with public schools!) We will keep everyone updated through RenWeb and the Parent Alert text messaging service.

We've finished another great week at Trident Academy!

Enjoy your weekend!!

We also realized that coming to school everyday and working through our learning differences is a act of courage. Next week we will be talking about courageous people!
