Grateful

Every November, I try to reflect on the blessings of the previous year.

I have been blessed with:

  • Meaningful work;
  • Talented teachers;
  • Creative team members;
  • Supportive board members;
  • Awesome parents; and
  • Sensational, creative, & talented students

My heart is filled with appreciation for all of you, the sacrifices you’ve made, the love you have poured into your work and families, your devotion to the mission of Trident Academy, and your trust in what we do.

I am grateful!

Betsy

SEAHAWK SCOOP:

Attendance

Trident Academy is built on the belief that there's no substitute for professional, thoughtful instruction, and for that reason, daily attendance is essential.

We have only 22 school days left this quarter. Because each day's lesson builds directly on the previous one, missing even a single day puts a heavy burden on the student. While our teachers work hard to help students catch up, they must essentially learn yesterday's material while keeping pace with today's.

Please make every effort to ensure your child is in school and on time every day. We want all our students to finish this semester strong!

Food Drive

It's time for the Trident Academy Annual Food Drive! 🥫 Help us support the Women Involved in the Young Moms Together program (formerly Florence Crittenton). We're collecting canned goods and non-perishables now through November 25. Drop off your donations at school!

Toy Drive for Closet of Hope

We're thrilled to partner with Closet of Hope for a Holiday Toy Drive! Help us "Light up a Holiday" for foster care children by donating new toys. Donations are accepted Monday–Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. until Wednesday, December 10. Thank you for your generosity!

Uniforms!
As the weather starts to cool off in Charleston, some of our students may want to get Trident Academy sweaters and jackets to wear. To purchase Trident Academy gear, please visit our school spirit store here >> Trident Academy Gear

WHAT'S HAPPENING ON CAMPUS:

Our 2nd and 3rd graders had an amazing day at Charles Towne Landing, where history and science came alive! They learned about the early Charleston settlers, observing both indigenous animals and those brought by the settlers. The trip was a perfect extension of their current studies: they spotted a bald eagle, a proud symbol of America, and observed several birds and their nests up close!

Our PE classes are hitting the court! Basketball lessons are officially underway this week, focusing on fundamental skills like dribbling, passing, and shooting.

Our 4th grader Izzy is a champion! She took first place in her Jiu-Jitsu competition and proudly showed off her medal to her class today. We love celebrating our students' hard work and dedication!
