Daniel R. Day

New York Times Bestseller | Best Books of the Year 2019 by Vanity Fair

"Dapper Dan is a legend, an icon, a beacon of inspiration to many in the Black community. His story isn't just about fashion. It's about tenacity, curiosity, artistry, hustle, love, and a singular determination to live our dreams out loud."

—Ava DuVernary, director of Selma, 13th, and A Wrinkle in Time

"What James Baldwin is to American literature, Dapper Dan is to American fashion. He is the ultimate success saga, an iconic fashion hero to multiple generations, fusing street with high-style, sartorial elegance. He is pure American style."

About Morgan Giosa:

Morgan Giosa is a multi-talented artist from Windsor, Connecticut. Describing himself as an "old soul," his music draws inspiration from 1960s electric psychedelic blues and legendary blues musicians like B.B. King and Albert King. He collaborates closely with mentor Frank Varela and has released several albums, including Feelin' Fine Today (2023) and Supernova (2025), that have received national recognition in competitions.

About Gene Donaldson:

Gene Donaldson has been playing guitar for the last 35 years. In the 80's he was in a very popular band called Smokestack Lighting. From there, he joined a northeast institution, Motown Review, and played up and down the East Coast. He has shared the stage with some of the blues' most respected artists.
