Vision To Learn Returns!
HPL is excited to welcome back Vision To Learn this summer to offer FREE eye exams and glasses for children. Helping them see clearly, learn confidently, and dream big.
Eligibility:
- Children ages 5-18
- No insurance needed!
- Vision To Lean can give each child one eye exam every 10 months.
- Please arrive 10 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment time to complete the necessary paperwork.
- Your appointment may have a possible wait time. Your patience is appreciated.
- If your child is prescribed glasses, they will be available for pick up at the Library 3-4 weeks after the exam.

We Won!
HPL is honored to receive the John Cotton Dana Award, the most prestigious library award in the public relations field, from the American Library Association (ALA), for its 250th Anniversary campaign. HPL was one of only eight libraries across North America chosen to receive the award, which is presented in partnership with the H. W. Wilson Foundation, Core (a division of the ALA), and EBSCO.

Learn How to Code
Join us for a fun, free beginner coding camp series using Scratch! You'll learn to create your own games and animations while building creative thinking and problem-solving skills in a supportive environment.
Free Rubik’s Cubes will be provided for each participant. Please bring your laptops, as limited laptops will be available if needed for the duration of the program.
Session two will be on August 4, August 7, and August 8. For ages 8-12.
Registration is required.

Camp Sparkler Launch
HPL is partnering with Sparkler Learning to launch Camp Sparkler, a free, eight-week virtual summer camp for families with children.
We will be celebrating at the park! Join us to learn more about Camp Sparkler’s engaging programs for young learners and participate in fun, hands-on activities, plus free carousel rides for all!
For ages 2-5. Older children are welcome.
