Congratulations to the September 2026 Small Business of the Month, The Hyatt Agency! If you've been to one of our Network Lunches in the past few years, you've met owner Kevin Hyatt. Since expanding his business to Athens, Kevin and his team have been a staple member of the Chamber, sponsoring Network Lunch and special events, and supporting other members of the business and nonprofit community at every opportunity. A true mom-and-pop family business, Kevin and his team are committed to finding the right insurance coverage and cost for all their customers' unique needs. | | Intercity Visit with the Ames, Iowa Regional Economic Alliance | The Athens Area Chamber of Commerce was thrilled to host the Ames, Iowa Regional Economic Alliance for an Intercity Visit last week. Ames chose to visit Athens to learn about what has worked in our community, explore new ideas, and identify opportunities to bring back to their region. Along with community partners, we hosted panels, tours, and events over the course of three days to share all things Athens with our guests. | Athens Area Diaper Bank - Diaper Up! | | Athens Area Diaper Bank's "Diaper Up!" community diaper drive wraps up this week, and we are asking Athens for one last push to reach our goal of 100,000 diapers. Every diaper and dollar given between now and September 30th goes directly to families across AADB's six-county service area. There is still time to drop off diapers or give online before the month ends. Thank you to everyone who has helped make this year's campaign possible! Help cross the finish line at www.athensareadiaperbank.com/events. | | Employer tables are still available and there is no cost to participate. Please email jim@athensga.com for more information. | | |

Replacing your AC? We'll include a new water heater at no cost on qualifying installs.
If your air conditioner is on its last season, replacing it before next summer costs less and gets scheduled on your timeline instead of during a July heat wave.
Right now, Glacier Comfort Experts is including a new water heater at no additional cost with qualifying new AC installations. We'll also beat a written competitor quote by up to $1,000. We handle both the HVAC and the plumbing ourselves — licensed in both trades — so a water heater swap doesn't mean a second contractor and a second schedule. Call (706) 990-1837 for a free estimate.
