Meet the Chamber's Board of Directors

As a 501(c)6 nonprofit organization, the Chamber of Commerce is board-governed, working with a group of business leaders to guide the organization's strategic vision.


Board member Alison Rosch, is Executive Director of the Clarke County Mentor Program, which began in 1991 as a joint initiative of the Chamber and the school district! Alison said, "The Chamber’s efforts to bridge K–12 education and workforce development have long been an important focus and benefit to our community. Their renewed work through the Athens Achieves projects is especially exciting because it strengthens partnerships with the Clarke County School District, promotes positive youth development, and connects the business community with our future workforce."

Meissner is a leading manufacturer of advanced microfiltration and single-use systems for the production of pharmaceutical drugs, biologics, and cell and gene therapy. The company is investing nearly $250 million in its new manufacturing facility in Athens and will be hiring for a broad range of roles.
