| | Chamber Staff in the Community | | |
The Athens Area Chamber Staff's community involvement doesn't stop when they leave the office. This year, we're excited to share with our members the other areas of service where our staff spend their time.
On February 23rd, Youth Leadership Athens embarked on it's annual Arts and Culture session. The group, for which Chamber staff member Meredith Lysaught serves on the steering committee, toured at the Morton Theatre, took in a self-guided tour of public art in downtown Athens, then ended their session with a tour at the Classic Center. The class also heard from leaders in the Athens Community in a panel focused on the intersection of business management and the creative economy, featuring David Osborne (Sound Insight), Andrea Wellnitz (Lyndon House Arts Center), Jay Kloepfer (Marti's at Midday, and a YLA Alumni!), and Cathy Rumfelt (The Studio Athens). Learn more about the program and follow along with this year's class at youthleadershipathens.com.
