Celebrate 100 years of service with The United States Navy Band in Downtown Athens, Georgia

Celebrate 100 years of service to America with The United States Navy Band, Sea Chanters chorus, and Cruisers popular music group as they join forces for a concert in The Classic Center Theatre on Friday, March 14, 2025, at 7:00 p.m.

This family-friendly event is designed to bring community members together with the Navy. It features a dynamic musical performance that combines three of the Navy Band’s elite ensembles. The performance showcases a mix of traditional wind band music, Broadway hits, pop tunes, and patriotic favorites, promising to entertain audiences of all ages.

Tickets will be available and free to the public on Friday, January 17 at 10:00 a.m., with a six-ticket limit per order. Get your tickets early! Join The Classic Center Cultural Foundation by 10:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 15, for access to the presale beginning Thursday, January 16.

Canopy Studio seeks a part-time development director to head ongoing fundraising needs

specific to a Capital Campaign. Reporting to the Executive Director, this professional must have an

established background in coordinating nonprofit donation strategies and staff/volunteer leadership.

This role involves organizing large-scale fundraising initiatives, working with board members, managing our Capital Campaign Fund, and building relationships with donors, staff and volunteers.

The development director will also work with our Executive Director and Board Treasurer with implementing major giving and planned giving fundraising strategies.

Director of Center for Active Living

The Director of the Center for Active Living (CAL) is responsible for overseeing a comprehensive range of programs that promote the health, wellness, and social engagement of older adults. This role involves managing fitness classes, wellness programs, art activities, social events, and an extensive trip program for active seniors. In addition, the Director is responsible for overseeing a community dining/wellness program for at-risk seniors. This position plays a pivotal role in the long-term sustainability and growth of CAL by identifying opportunities for program expansion, partnership development, and financial sustainability. The Director will collaborate with the ACCA Leadership Team to ensure CAL remains a vibrant and vital community resource.

Operations Manager - Part-Time Hybrid

Georgia Conflict Center (GCC) is looking for an Operations Manager, a vital role and key member of our small team, to work 20 hours per week beginning January 2025. The OM will be compensated at an hourly wage starting between $18 and $22 per hour – depending on experience – and paid on a bi-weekly or monthly basis. This is a hybrid position with some face time, the rest remote.
