You may have seen me outside this week in a Grinch costume. This was an attempt to bring more awareness to our "Warm and Fuzzy" Drive and Winterfest. I am pleased to report that our Pine Lane Crew has definitely warmed my heart at least three sizes. Thank you all and the Parker Community for your generous donations of coats, hats, toys, monetary donations that will go toward those who are in need.
I would also like to express a special thanks to Wes at the Coffee Cabin, Parker Adventist Hospital, our own PTO, and Kathleen Campbel for the way they care for and advocate for our PLE Crew. We are so grateful for your help to plan and execute our annual Holiday Shop, which helps families that may need some assistance to provide gifts for their family. If this is your family, please see the information in our weekly update. Our Holiday Shop will be held tomorrow from 11 am - 1 pm.
We are looking forward to seeing all the culmination of learning that is occurring over the next week. 1st grade is wrapping up their Family Tradition Unit. 5th-grade students are working hard on creative writing. 2nd Grade will be leading our Community Meeting focused on Bravery. Kindies learned about a variety of Holiday Traditions. This past Wednesday we were blessed by our PLE Choir's Holiday Concert. At this time of year, there is so much going on and it is so fun to see the students' excitement to share their learning.
Here are just a few reminders. Don't forget next Tuesday is Ugly Sweater Day. We hope to get some great pictures. There is no school next Friday and EPR's (Semester Report Cards) will be released to you in
EngagED Parent Portal
that evening. Lastly, DCSD is looking for feedback to help prioritize funding and on School Capacity/School Boundaries. Would you please complete the following linked surveys to help with this planning work

I hope you all have a great weekend and I look forward to seeing everyone who can make it out tonight for Winterfest!
