Dear Parent Crew,
I hope that your child has had a wonderful first week back from break. This Tuesday at 2:06 AM, I had the honor to welcome our new daughter into the world. This is now our 7th child and with each one, I am reminded of how wonderful life is and of the important responsibility we have to love, teach, care for, and equip our children for life. I, too, am reminded that this is the very reason I chose education as a career. And while I am thoroughly enjoying my time with my family and new daughter, I have also missed being at school this week to be apart of perpetuating our school's mission to empower excellence in character, achievement, and contribution to a better world. I will be returning to the office on November 4th.
This month we have focused on the habit of character, Leadership. Today, 6th grade will have led our Community Meeting with this theme. At Pine Lane, we define Leadership in this way: We inspire those around us to excellence. We strive to build trust by developing confidence in ourselves and others. We think outside the box to solve problems and empower others by modeling the habits of character. Ask your child what they have learned about Leadership during the month of October.
Have a great weekend and we hope to see you this evening at the Trunk or Treat! Thank you, PTO, for putting on this wonderful event!
