St. Francis Xavier Families,

I loved seeing parents in grades 1-8 on Wednesday at Back-to School Night. I hope you enjoyed the time spent in the classrooms meeting the teachers. To reiterate, thank you for partnering with us and entrusting us with your child. We know that your role as the primary educator of your child is extremely important. We ask that you have strong communication with your child's teacher in order to strengthen this partnership. As we move forward this year, we would love to hear your feedback on how can we improve with our standard events. Please take 5 minutes of your time to complete the survey below.

A shout out to our students and teachers for responding to the fire alarm at dismissal yesterday with ease and grace. An alarm in our building did get set off accidentally. We were grateful to the Acushnet Fire Department who responded promptly to the scene. Thank you again for your patience yesterday with the traffic this caused.

PARENT HOMEWORK DUE ASAP:

This year parent homework is electronic, and so all families need to log on to their FACTS Family Portal to review and make any necessary edits to emergency pickups, medical info, etc. on the Webforms directly.
**ALL Students and Parents MUST e-sign the Acknowledgement Webform found in the Family Portal for the handbook and tuition agreement.

Please complete/update all Webforms on FACTS by TODAY... at the very latest...as we will shut down your editing access to the Webforms in order to print necessary reports.

**Any necessary changes after TODAY must be communicated directly to the main office.

If you are thinking you MIGHT want to volunteer at all this year (reading a story, fun Friday centers, field trips, field day etc.) you must complete the CORI process this fall. You will not be allowed to volunteer without this completed.

As mentioned at Back-to-School Night our SEC needs volunteers like you! If you are interested in being a room mom or helping with one of our many events, please contact me at hrogers@sfxacushnet.com and I will connect you with our SEC! Many hands make light work and we need your help!

Please consider joining our first in-person meeting on Monday at the school. We need your help and your talents! This is a great way to meet other parents as well.

K-2 and Middle School!

Tuesday-Thursday next week grades K-2 and 6-8 will take the beginning of the year MAP assessment. Please make sure you child gets a good night sleep and eats a heathy breakfast the morning before! Also avoid tardy arrivals and early departures next week if at all possible.
