St. Francis Xavier Families,

Can you believe we are already at the end of September? Time flies! We hope to see MANY of you this Wednesday at 6:30pm for SmartGen! It is worth attending!

Next Friday we are SO excited to have our first School Board Day! We have invited members from our School Board to 9am Mass and back to school for some light refreshments before spending a little bit in our classrooms.

As mentioned at Back-to-School Night, our School Board is made up of outside professionals who are invested in our school community who advise Father, Mrs. Shaughnessy, and I on all things strategic planning (finances, building and grounds maintenance, teacher recruitment/retention etc.).

We are grateful for them and excited to welcome them into our halls!

In His Merciful Love,

Mrs. Rogers

Important Dates/Things to Keep on Your Radar!

THIS COMING WEEK!!! October 2-6th!

We are so excited to be partnering with Ignatius Press to host their book fair! 30% of their books are religious and 70% of their books are secular with Catholic School appropriate content!

Book fair will be open the evening of the SmartGen Presentation!

Wish Lists will be sent home after students have had a chance to browse the books on 10/2-10/3. Parents will need to communicate with us on the wish lists which books the students are allowed to purchase.

They company only sends a few of each story. If we run out, you will have the option to get it shipped to the school. If you check off YES on the wish list, the book will automatically be ordered.

THIS WEEK!!!

Don't miss this AWESOME presentation for parent formation on online and social media safety for kids! SmartGen is an official partner of the FBI and a great organization to connect with.

The presenter, Amie Konwinski, has spent her career in military leadership, computer engineering, executive marketing management, and advocating for safe and private digital use. She is a dynamic and national speaker who is passionate at educating parents, teachers, and kids about digital safety!

Students in grades 3-8 will receive a presentation from Amie as well.

Parents who attend will receive a dress down pass for their kids!

This is a grade 8 fundraiser that helps them raise money for all their special 8th grade activities! Stay tuned for more info from grade 8!

Please note:  Attendance for SAL days are taken via the completion and turning in of work assigned for the day...otherwise the student is marked officially absent!
